Hope this works. One on the wife’s car and one on mine. Cheaper than having to replace the catalytic converters. Would have installed it myself, but had no way to raise the car up high enough. My mechanic did it for $100 for each car. Took a little over an hour per car for him to install. Solid product that is secure and fits well on our cars. Covers the catalytic converter completely. Does make a slight, low volume hum after install. Could probably fix it, but it is really just like white noise. Wish we didn’t have to have something like this, but glad it is out there. $170 part + $100 install better than $2000 catalytic converter or a $500 insurance deductible. Worth the peace of mind.
Had it bolted to the car and appears to be doing the job
It makes it tougher to get your cat. If the thief has time he can still get it. Park where prolonged sawing can be heard.
After purchasing a new car, I was informed how often the catalytic converter was stolen from my brand of car. I watched a video of thieves removing one, and it took them about 3 minutes.I was given the link to get this from my mechanic. He sent me the wrong design and this company was fantastic helping me to get the right one for my 2015 Toyota Prius C( this one). Since my family lives near their offices, they exchanged it and were friendly and helpful. My mechanic installed it in an hour, but kept hearing a rattle, so he installed a rod along side of it, and it kept it far enough away from touching anything when the car moved. He also slightly bent the right side, as there was a little sound coming from turning the car. All in all, that took an extra 30 minutes, but now it's quiet and I have peace of mind knowing it will take a thief a while to try and get this thing off of the car!I also love the 3 stickers that are included and placed them on the drivers side window, and the back window
This product covers the cat well. If a thief wants your your catalytic converter he will have to get the car raised up and work for at least a couple of hours to get to where he can see it. It is no longer ‘snatch and grab’.
